It was a cold yet Sunny Saturday last week when all the Pacific Islanders and Diversity gathered together and made the Number 1 Festival in Auckland, It was held at the Manukau Sports Bowl.
When my family and I got there we saw a lot of people and we heard cans sounding, drums beating, we walked to the the Samoan Stage and it was full of people.
Luckily we found a good spot, right in the middle,
It was so exciting to see some ex students from Holy Cross
When it was time for Avondale (the Overall Winners for 9 years in a row) The first people I see was Coretti, Phillimayna, and Hope, and My Beautiful Sister Danielle
She looked like a Samoan Princess, I was happy and so grateful to have a sister like her.
After Avondale performed I was going like crazy,
I was really proud of my older sister because of her beautiful dance, she was the Queen of the Samoan Stage.
It was time for prize giving and I was really nervous yet excited to hear about the results,
For Co-Ed schools 3rd place was Avondale College, I was really sad but at the same time I was happy they came a place
2nd place was Manurewa College and 1st place for the Co-Ed category was Mangere College.
I was really happy to be there at Auckland's Number 1 Pacific Islander and Diversity Festival.
